The Forty under 40 Global Awards are to identify, honour and celebrate international icons, a cross-section of the world’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.
We believe that highlighting the achievements of these rising stars not only honors their success but also provides them with a valuable platform to amplify their voices and create opportunities for the next generation of industry innovators. This initiative encourages young people to pursue excellence from an early age and helps nurture a culture of ambition and achievement.
The Forty under 40 Awards began in 2017, and they’ve been held in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Ghana, Africa. The Global Awards are the umbrella body for all the other awards and are open to the entire international community. Our Jury is seeking outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals in the public and private and non-profit sectors and will recognize attributes such as achievements in business, experience and innovation, vision, leadership and community involvement.

Our categories cover a wide range of the various sectors you can think of, ranging from banking and finance, energy, family business, agriculture, theatre and arts, journalism, fashion, law, sports, event management, health, technology and innovation amongst others.
PURPOSE
- The Forty Under 40 Award aims to recognize and celebrate 40 emerging leaders under the age of 40 who have made a significant impact both personally and professionally through their exceptional leadership.
- To highlight specific projects and individual achievements that have distinguished these young leaders from their peers, showcasing their ability to deliver clear, compelling value, return on investment, and other measurable results.
- To inspire and motivate the next generation, demonstrating that excellence and success can be attained at a young age.
- To honor and acknowledge 40 outstanding leaders who have made a profound personal and professional impact through their remarkable leadership.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
- Nominations for the Forty under 40 awards can be submitted either by the public (i.e., someone other than the nominee) or through self-nomination. It is important to note that multiple nominations for the same individual do not provide any advantage over a single nomination, as the selection process is not influenced by the number of submissions received.
- All nominations must include the nominee’s details, as anonymous submissions will not be accepted. Additionally, letters of recommendation and other supporting documents may be requested as part of the evaluation process.
- To be eligible, nominees must be 40 years old or younger on the year of the event. Furthermore, they must hold a key leadership role within their organization as an entrepreneur, shareholder, founder, or co-founder.
